Referee Assigning
MARA specializes in assigning certified referees to youth, club, and adult league matches across Metro Atlanta. Our experienced assignors match officials based on age group, game level, and experience to ensure fair and consistent officiating. We manage availability, handle last-minute changes, and stay in close contact with referees and league coordinators to keep every match covered and on schedule.
Tournament Assigning
We provide full referee coverage for weekend tournaments, showcases, and special events. Our assignors ensure appropriate crew placement based on age, level, and tournament format, so your games run smoothly and fairly.
Referee Mentoring
MARA supports referee growth through in-game mentoring, sideline evaluations, and feedback. New officials gain confidence, and experienced referees get guidance to reach the next level.
Scheduling
We work closely with club directors to manage game schedules, field availability, and blackout dates. Our system ensures referees are assigned efficiently, with flexibility for last-minute changes when needed.

- How do we get started with MARA?
We’ll schedule a consultation to understand your club’s needs, game schedules, and preferred workflow. From there, we’ll set you up for seamless referee assigning.
- Can we request specific referees for certain matches?
While we can’t guarantee availability, we’ll do our best to accommodate special requests based on referee experience, familiarity, or past assignments.
- What happens if a referee doesn’t show up?
Our field supervisors monitor coverage and are available to troubleshoot issues. If a no-show occurs, we’ll work with you to reschedule or resolve it quickly.
- What does MARA charge for referee assigning?
Fees vary depending on club size, match frequency, and special requests. We’ll provide a custom quote after our initial consultation.
- How do we report a concern or compliment about a referee?
You can use our contact form or reach out to our assignor team directly. We value league feedback and use it to improve performance and assignments.
- What types of games does MARA assign referees for?
We assign officials for youth matches, club leagues, recreational games, tournaments, and adult amateur competitions.
- How far in advance should we submit our schedule?
We recommend submitting your full schedule at least 2–3 weeks in advance to ensure proper coverage and assignment.
- Are all MARA referees certified?
Most MARA referees are fully certified through U.S. Soccer. However, we also support a Junior (Next Generation) Referee Program for officials under the age of 13. These younger referees are not yet eligible for full USSF certification but are trained and supervised to officiate small-sided or recreational games in a controlled environment.
They gain valuable experience while being mentored by certified officials and help support entry-level matches in our community.
- Does MARA provide referees for tournaments or special events?
Absolutely. We frequently assign referees for weekend tournaments, showcases, and other one-off events.
